Thrice Blessed

If you know me very well you know I think the world of my brothers. Garret and Gavin are some of my best friends. They both married very well. I have 2 of the best sisters-in-law possible. Interesting enough they both had babies this last month. Erin had a sweet little girl Margaret (after my Grandma, they call her Maggie). Maggie is a sweet little bundle of joy. We haven't had a baby since Keaton so it has been wonderful to have her around. She came on Halloween so she was a treat!

Last night Garrets' wife had twin girls. For now their names are "A" and "B'. His wife Girlie has had a rough time the last few weeks. I think this is the first time I was just as happy for the Mom to be done as the new babies. I am excited to hold them and love them up too! Can't wait for pics of them!

This last weekend we went out for the ANNUAL PALMER TREE HUNT!!! Lee looks forward to this tradition I think more then any of the year. My own feeling is it is just an excuse for him and his brothers to make their families go off roading with them in their big trucks :) We all go gladly though and enjoy the day. Keaton loved playing with the cousins and thought Aunt Stacey was the best for bringing the hot cocoa! After looking around the Flaming Gorge Area for the morning we found our prefect tree. You gotta love Christmas time!!!

The CHAIR works!

Anyone that knows our little Keaton knows the struggle we have had with sleep. He slept through the night for 2 weeks when he was 6 mos old and has not looked back since :) He is otherwise a good boy with this slight flaw. For the first year and a half I would have to lay by him and get him to sleep then woke 5-8 times a night with him. I REALLY felt we have a breakthrough when we got a King bed about 6 mos. ago and I decided the first time he woke up I would bring him in bed with us.

Lee has complained from the begining about feet, head, etc in his back. Some friends of mine suggested 2 weeks ago a book entitled " Good night Sleep Tight" by Kim West. The premise is you set a chair by their bed for three nights that you sit in while they fall asleep. The next three nights it is 1/2 way across the room, 3 nights in the door, 3 nights out the door. Within a week he was going to sleep in under 5 min with no crying (it used to take him up to an hour with me laying by him or rocking him). He also is coming in our bed later and later with the last 3 out of 4 nights him sleeping all night in his bed. All with no real crying or hassle.

THANK YOU JILL AND LINDA!!!!

Vetrans Day!

I love my husband. Have I mentioned that? He is always thinking of great ideas for our family to do together. Yesterday for Vetrans day (after getting in 4 hours of double time) he took us up to Hill Field Air museum. We wandered around all the planes and remembered. Keaton loved it. I was amazed how much my husband knows about all that stuff (I guess all those hours logged on the History Channel are finally paying off :)!

Halloween!

I think this was the first year my little GOBLIN got the whole trick-or-treat thing. He loved it. He still thinks now a week later we should knock on every door with a "Candy or Treat!" (He decided the trick part just wasn't for him.
I was pretty proud of his costume. I scanned the Halloween aisles at all the over priced one night fare and decided I could do better. He LOVES fire engines and was THRILLED to be the "fire engine DRIVER", since that is the essence of a firefighter you know!
